Since 1990

Today's "HKR Raumausstattung GmbH" was founded in 1990 from the sole proprietorship of the upholsterer Jürgen Heldmann in Teltow, which had existed since 1965, and the partners Karsten Krause and Peter Reimer of the "K+R Bodenbeläge und Dekorationen GmbH" in Wedel, which had existed in its original form since 1958, as "HKR Heldmann, Krause und Reimer GmbH" and was jointly managed by them.

In 1995, Henry Grimm, the current sole managing director and co-owner, who had been with the Heldmann company since 1982, took over Jürgen Heldmann's share after completing his qualification as a master interior decorator. Jürgen Heldmann had retired from the company. At the same time, the company was renamed to its current name, "HKR Raumausstattung GmbH".

The extremely positive and rapid sales growth necessitated a move in 1996 to new and more spacious business premises in Stahnsdorf near Berlin, where the company is still located today.

To ensure a sound and future-oriented direction for HKR Raumausstattung GmbH, the company itself became a shareholder in 2011 in K+R Bodenbeläge und Dekorationen GmbH in Wedel, the main shareholder of the companies in the K+R group.
